Looks like Obama will win — FiveThirtyEight gives him a 98.1% chance of winning. I’ll be pissed off if he loses so fingers crossed. Not that he will be able to fulfill people’s expectations — expectations are so high that many will be disappointed by 4 or 8 years of Obama. And the recriminations among the far-right nutjobs will be a joy to watch.

Incidently I liveblogged that last UK general election, having written some software that would predict the final result on the basis of those results that had come in. It didn’t have pretty graphs, though.
