Is the Pope a Pirate?

A recent encyclical by Pope Benedict XVI suggests he shares the Pirate Party’s concerns with overly strong intellectual property laws:

22. […] On the part of rich countries there is excessive zeal for protecting knowledge through an unduly rigid assertion of the right to intellectual property, especially in the field of health care.

    I remember noticing this earlier this month too.

    Sounds good to me. No more government granted pseudo-property rights, plz.
