Bristol Palin’s fiancé Levi Johnston

Bristol Palin’s fiancé is called Levi Johnston. Levi apparently has a sister, who has a MySpace. (I think you see where this is going…)

Her MySpace was recently made private but before that happened, someone took some details.

This is apparently a picture of Levi’s sister (sitting) holding Trig Palin with Sarah Palin in the background:

) Sarah Palin, Trig Palin, Levi's sister

(L to R:) Sarah Palin, Trig Palin, Levi

This apparently is what Levi looks like:

Bristol Palin's fiancé Levi

More details here and here.

UPDATE:
Levi’s MySpace page contains this (my emphasis):

On his MySpace page, Johnston boasts, “I’m a f – – -in’ redneck” who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes.

“But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- – – and just f – – -in’ chillin’ I guess.”

“Ya f – – – with me I’ll kick [your] ass,” he added.

He also claims to be “in a relationship,” but states, “I don’t want kids.”

So maybe Levi was “persuaded” to marry Bristol?

  1. Sarah Palin opposes sex education and favors abstinence instead.

I wonder how that’s working out for you, Sarah!??

I wonder what is says of her judgment.
Oh, wait . . . maybe it was an immaculate conception!
    ;-)

  2. Sara says:

Seriously whether you are a democrat or republican people make mistakes. You can’t expect her children to be perfect. Bristol isn’t running for office. she is a 17 year old girl. LEAVE HER ALONE!

  3. Mark M says:

You can’t expect her children to be perfect.

No…which is why you teach them to be safe.

  4. Ames says:

I agree that the mainstream party should leave her alone, but this does speak to the massive failure of abstinence only. It’s not an indictment of Bristol; it’s proof of her mother’s failed policies.

That said, I agree that it’s best left alone in the mainstream media, and good for Barack for agreeing.

  5. Pet says:

This is absolutley unacceptable. She needs to step aside and take care of her many children and grandchildren if they are not more than one. This is the result of spending too much time in the office and less time with the kids. IS THIS A GOOD RESULT?

  6. Tim says:

Ah, nothing like the waves of comfort and understanding coming from the left and the “party of tolerance.”

Warms my heart to see all this compassion and acceptance.

  7. Ed says:

    I second Sara. Unnecessary.

  8. Heresiarch says:

They look so young and innocent, don’t they? Tragic, really.

  9. Erin says:

Having a little sister i know stuff happens no matter how much you talk to someone. But as a mother how can you say you have done your job. Maybe Sarah should spend some more time as home.

Also, I believe it is illegal to have sex with someone under 18. It would be interesting to see.

  10. Corey says:

Seems baby daddy don’t want kids and is proud of being a fucking red neck, (white-power, bible thumper) and “riding dirt bikes”, (aka Briston Palin).

    “He’s a smart kid” one person states….SMART !!!!???

Why didn’t he use a condom?

He has a real “tough guy” attitude…..he likes hanging with the boys….I wonder how he will feel when Bristol tells him to get his ass home and pay more attention to their baby!

    Drink with the boys much?

  11. boyfulan¿ says:

i saw this coming, why am i not surprised???

  12. RevCole says:

I’ve been for Sen. Obama since before he started running for President, and I’d really like to see folks respect the senator’s wishes and leave Bristol Palin alone. So Sarah Palin’s worthless as a mother, that’s no big deal. Keeping the money for the “Bridge to Nowhere” without actually building the bridge, supporting a political movement that wants Alaska to secede (search Palin and AIP), wanting to censor the books in the Wasilla library, firing the Wasilla chief of police and library director because they didn’t support her for mayor, troopergate, heading Ted Stevens’ PAC…let’s leave the poor kid outta this.

  13. TeamKlemm says:

Oh please, like these kids are any different than any OTHER 17 and 18 year old kid in AMERICA! I love how everyone wants to bash Sarah Palin and her abstinance only policy….like Bristol Palin is the FIRST 17 year old to NOT listen to her parents! ROFL! You people are RICH! I love it! And as for this boy and his language on his myspace page….go look at ANY 18 year old boys myspace page and it is filled with the same bravado tough talk as this kid’s. Don’t expect these 2 to NOT behave like any other teen..give them, and ME, a break….

  14. SimonAndGarfunkelTime says:

If Palin gets into office, expect a tidal wave of of welfare mommas who take their cues from Republican first families – “Teaching abstinence doesn’t begin at home and doesn’t apply to Republicans”

  15. cabalamat says:

Sara: Seriously whether you are a democrat or republican people make mistakes.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republic nor a mmeber of any US political party. (For that matter, I am not a citizen of the USA nor have I ever visited that country).

You can’t expect her children to be perfect.

I don’t expect anyone to be perfect.

Bristol isn’t running for office. she is a 17 year old girl. LEAVE HER ALONE!

You seem to be saying I should’nt talk about her at all; I’ll address that issue in a separate post.

  16. cabalamat says:

Tim: Ah, nothing like the waves of comfort and understanding coming from the left and the “party of tolerance.” Warms my heart to see all this compassion and acceptance.

You’re obviously being sarcastic here Tim, but if you think about it, what you say is literally true.

Let’s consider the Republican Party and their vice-presidential candidate. She believes that sex outside marriage is immoral, and therefore it follows that Bristol Palin is an immoral person.

I, however, don’t think that sex outside marriage is immoral. Therefore I do not think Bristol Palin is an immoral person.

Who is more accepting, someone who thinks Bristol is an immoral person, or someone who thinks Bristol isn’t an immoral person?

  17. cabalamat says:

Erin: I believe it is illegal to have sex with someone under 18.

In Alaska the age of consent is 16.

  18. d says:

I was going to vote republican but I don’t think I can now. McCain showed extremely poor judgement in a running mate. I’m sorry Mrs. Palin, but you absolutely do not qualify as the VP. Bristol has proven you cannot maintain your own family by her choice of such a “redneck who will kick your ass if you mess with him”. How do you think you can maintain the country. At least, if you do win, you can see to it that Levi will have a great “rich” life. He’ll never have to really work in his life. You will pave the way for him.

  19. James Kirk Maberry says:

Wow, I had no idea we had so many experts on parenting here. Gosh, I feel like the luckiest man in the world, what, with all of this wisdom? Last time I checked, you can’t “make” a 17 year old do anything. That includes having sex and getting pregnant. I’m sure this comes as a shock to all of you who have suggested Mrs. Palin is not a good mother. That may be the case, her daughter being pregnant doesn’t prove anything. There are plenty of good parents in this position every day. You want to attack Palin? Go ahead! You are going to find reasonable Americans, you know, the ones who actually vote, flocking to her defense. Hillary reminds one of your buddies ex-wife who wouldn’t let you go over, watch football and drink beer. Sarah Palin reminds me of my wife, my sister and my buddy’s cool wife. Poo-poo that at your own peril, democrats.

  20. Judy says:

Sarah Palin acts like Levi marrying Bristol is a good solution to their pregnancy issue. If anything they are adding fuel to the fire. Levi does not have the best character and is defintely not ready for marriage. I agree with Corey, Bristol will have her hands full trying to get him away from his redneck buddies to come home and fulfill his fatherly duties. What a shame that Sarah Palin is so out of touch with reality!

  21. cabalamat says:

James Kirk Maberry: “You are going to find reasonable Americans, you know, the ones who actually vote, flocking to her defense. Hillary reminds one of your buddies ex-wife who wouldn’t let you go over, watch football and drink beer. Sarah Palin reminds me of my wife, my sister and my buddy’s cool wife. Poo-poo that at your own peril, democrats.”

This is a good point. While it irrational to do so, many voters vote for a candidate based on who they’d prefer as a drinking buddy.

  22. John Collontano says:

Let’s get real here. Alaska has one of the highest STD rates per capita in the country. Kids WILL screw around. Abstinence only flys in the face or reality, even in winter wonderland. So, with abstinence comes defiance, indifference, or ignorance and more STD and unwanted kids. Don’t blah blah blah about loving this and that and supportive this and that. The chances of a 17 / 18 year olds marraige lasting are so low, even in Oz, these kids don’t have a chance with or without in-law love. This BS that the daughter will marry the boyfriend (notice lack of word fiance) smacks of old time shotgun wedding (or in this case, machine gun wedding). And the children of these early sex experiments. They eventually become squished between a mom who loves the kid(s) but felt trapped and a boy who feels cheated out of his youthful good times with “the boys”. I’ve seen it over and over again all my life. Same play, different actors.
This IS a news story about a Governor’s policy of sex education principles, so don’t wrap this in a privacy cloak. This is Washington politics and ALL issues related to political families determine who we are electing and why.

  23. George says:

From what is posted on his “MySpace” entry it sounds like Levi is kind of a jerk. Guess Bristol’s mother didn’t notice. From what I hear, the kids had their clubs and told mom they were just going out to hunt baby seals–which is pretty normal for kids in that part of the country … little did she know.

  24. Rick says:

I am seeing a lot of my friends connect with Ms Palin. Beating up on her and her daughter will just gain a lot of support for the ticket. Frankly, I feel all the candidates are very good people. My vote is for McCain for just one reason. Obama, is a socialist, who promises to make us look like Europe. The reward for investment will just be a big tax bill. If he gets in – you may get free health care and free college – and no JOB!. We must embrace business and people who put their money at risk. Let them create the jobs, that is want we want, isn’t it? If you are going to vote for this left wing socialist based on hope and change — then you better no what the change and hope is – right now the hope and change looks very expensive for everyone. Remember, poor people do not create jobs. I don’t know if we should admire people who want to hang themselves by voting for more social programs or feel sorry for them. I firmly believe the democratic party is a cancer that for now is under control but eventually the cancer will over take this country our rights will be forever lost. I believe a lot of people connect and identify with the Palins – just hope there is enough of us. Everyone needs to hold on to their rear ends- you may lose it with Obama. God bless Sarah Palin and her family!

  25. catherine says:

With all the talk that this is coming out as just a way to shut down the original rumor that Trig is actually Bristol’s son (making this her second pregnancy, as opposed to Trig being Sarah’s fifth child), anyone notice how Trig looks like Levi – as opposed to a mix of Sarah and her husband? Also, in the pics of Bristol with newborn Trig, Bristol looks more like the new mom – a little haggard – compared to Sarah. (There’s more pics taken at that same time on the web.)

  26. bernadette wohl says:

    John Collonanto

Wow that was so well said.
thank you for the intelligence of your thoughts

  27. bernadette wohl says:

    Rick

You are a very discompassionate person and you can expect to learn the hard way and get kicked in the teeth as a form of your education. You are a gloater and not very attractive in any way

  28. poeticgrin says:

    Sarah Palin = joke.

  29. Patrick says:

Looks like mom is too busy out running with Mcain to worry about home life, and axeing decent people when she doesnt get her way… WHERE is the father in all this? ( the Bar? ) I think this is mcains sick idea to have a woman by his side at the white house to get his slice of the pie…HINT…HINT….OBVIOUSLY he didnt pick anyone with experiance, so its obviously for some afternoon delight…LOL! And as for bristol… Here we go with the typical teenage slut and a redneck? HAHA…. and this is replublican values? She was never slated to marry the kid, until the press got ahold of the story. NOW its ” oh they are engaged.” RIGHT, Palins home life leaked out, and she is digging at straws to cover it up. AND YES THE KID SHOULD BE IN JAIL FOR SCREWING AN UNDERAGE GIRL… JUST GOES TO SHOW IT’S WHO YOU KNOW IN THAT SMALL TOWN. I think its going to be funny when one of palins kids tells her they are either a lesbian, or gay. Heck, the husband probably gettin it from some neighbor boy down the road. WHAT WOULD SHE DO WITH A GAY SON, OR LESBIAN DAUGHTER? OH OH, THEN THE REPUBLICAN WAY WOULD BE TO THROW THEM OUT AND DISOWN THEM. AND RIGHTS FOR HER OWN KIDS? I HOPE THEY ARE ALL EITHER GAY/LESBIAN. Then she will know whats it’s like to deny rights to her own kids. BUT then again, when you are palin, if you dont play by the rules, you get the axe… She needs to drop out of the election, resign as the govener of alaska, and clean up house at home. Get the husband to AA, the daughter to parenting classes, ( she didnt learn from mom) and take care of her newborn son? or grandchild? Not sure on that one yet.

  30. Rick says:

    Bernadette,

You definately are more than a socialist. Your hateful comment comes across as what I feel the early communist must of been like. You call me “discompassionate”. Why, for feeling that higher taxes against the very people who create jobs and who take all the risk of their capital is not right (it’s immoral). The free economy and low taxes are what make this country great. Goverment cannot handle the burden of Social Security and you and Obama want to at least double or triple the tax rate for additional goverment programs. After you and Obama rape the upper 5% of tax payers and you still can’t pay for your social programs– then who are you going to rape next. Thats right- it’s going to be the other 95%. Obama for now wants to give 95% of us a tax break. Oh boy! I’ll bet the tax break will be about enough to take the family out to Applebees. He’ll then tax the 95% on their odometers with the excuse of Global warming (if you don’t believe the taxation of your odometer is coming – I got a bridge to sell you). Believe me democrats don’t give nothting for free.

  31. Patrick says:

ALSO, i wonder if Levi is gay, or at least bi…. alot of guys in these types of sports are usually closet cases…. that would be a good reason why he ” don’t want kids”

  32. lisa says:

Oh my gosh this election will never end!

Since when has Myspace become mainstream reporting?

LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!!! Just what every 17 year old mother to be needs is a bunch of jerks talking about her. Go back to high school….you’d fit right in….DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA

Every single baby is a gift from God!

Best wishes to all involved may peace and love surround you. You are in my prayers and forever the baby will be a blessing.
    Grace to you

  33. Goodbye Apathy says:

    Rick,

Is this a fundamentally strong economy? Because if I am not mistaken, the Republicans who apparently have the ability to create jobs and strengthen our economy must just be holding out on us (probably for our own good – just like abstinence and government eavesdropping) this whole eight years. Look at that proven track record of a strong economy under the Bush administration – oh wait, THERE ISN’T ONE.

Probably nothing scares the upper 5% more than the prospect of having to pay out 30% of THEIR annual income to the government like the rest of us “peasants”. Yes, a plague upon the rich are the Democrats. More power to them.

  34. I agree with AMES, post #4 – – it shows a dismal failure and bankrupt ideas for those on the far right who advocate abstinence only.

Yes, personal family matters should be left out of the political discussions, thought it does show a severe lack of judgment and limited world experience to actually oppose educating your own children.
Sarah Palin has never even been to Europe. How is she going to take into account cultural differences, political alternatives, and outright opposition if she has never even been exposed to differing viewpoints? I worry about her capabilities on the world stage.

  35. Please, respect my family and my sister!

  36. Heavenly says:

It’s so funny to see someone that place themselves and their values on such a high horse to only come down right on those values.

I just wondering if Obama’s oldest daughter was 17 and became pregnant would the McCain show as much respect as Obama is showing towards McCain’s VP.

If this was Obama’s VP family issue everybody knows that the Republican Party, especially Fox News would be all over this using this as a example as why Obama shouldn’t be the next President.

We all saw what the did to Obama’s wife when she made that comment about her finally being proud to be an American or first time being proud being an American.

    God the hypocrisy.

I am a formal Wasilla resident. Sara was the Mayor when I left and moved to Florida. She did a good job for our small town. As Alaska’s Gov she has done alot for the state of Alaska.
Now as for Bristal, who was in school with my sons, her pregancy should be off limits. What a private family matter. I am not concerned about the fact she is with child. We need to stay focussed on the matters at hand that effect all American. The war, gas prices, food costs, affordable insurance for families, the states being effected by hurricane Gustav, families losing their homes to housing market. How about that! Why go after a 17 year girl who is dealing with a life changing event in her life.
I feel this is an issue that should be left alone, let the family support thier daughter and prepare for the welcoming of a new great grandchild, grandchild and Bristal’s child. This is a thing to celerbrate not knock down.
I am not voting for McCain/Palin ticket, to conservative for my taste. But I don’t feel anyone from any party should use this as a smear platform. Stay focused media play fair and run a good race. Stay news worthy!

Plus Levi is a great young man he is surrounded by loving parents. Johnston’s miss you all and love you stay strong and know we have your back.

Christian Liberal, in your first post on this site I think you meant an “incarnation”, not an “immaculate conception”…you have your theology mixed up….do some research…

I don’t care if her daughter is pregnant, that’s what teenagers do…you know, they do it…happens all the time…maybe her daughter is just too popular for her own good and hangs out w/ the wrong crowd…but that boyfriend looks like an 18 year old redneck bully….too many of them in Washington…maybe he can skate his way onto a real hockey team and make some cash to support his new baby…

  43. raine says:

How nice that right wing republicans have such high standards for themselves and their children. I am impressed at the aspirations of these young people. For a party that touts the opportunities this country has to offer, it is wonderful to see Repubs embrace these young people who are such sterling examples of what can be achieved through good parenting and hard work. Clearly we should all sign on to the agenda of banning books, teaching Creationism, abandoning science, and denying women autonomy over their own bodies. Let’s all hear it for the right wing! And THIS was once the party of Bob Dole. Could Republicans please get some self respect?

  44. FC says:

    Hey Rick:

The first thing you need to do is to improve your education. Your use of English is deplorable.

Second: You obviously have your own sources of information since I do not recall seeing or hearing
that Obama is going to triple taxes and convert this into a socialist (or European nation) as you claim.

Third: What income level are you in? Probably a poor, uneducated, manual labor slob wanting to sound
like you know something. Forever defending your masters.

Fourth: I bet you consider yourself something of a Bible scholar, to boot. Well, if that is so, do you
remember ever reading Jesus’ admonition that “to those who much is given, much is expected?”

I guess that means that they shouldn’t pay their due share (DUE SHARE, not more than) of taxes.
You know, percentages per dollar as the rest of those who are not in the top 5% of the income scale.

Actually, the basis of your argument arising from either your imagination, or better yet, from
the comedian Limbaugh, proves that you are ill-informed, uneducated and an idiot.

You accuse people of being Communist and immoral. Is that all you have? How about using intelligent,
verifiable, and documented (not because Limbaugh said it) arguments instead of third grade “you’re a
so and so” looking to silence those who have a differing opinion.

Actually, let the Republicans have you. I would hate to have a moron like you saying that you believe
the same things I do without having the least bit of an idea of what that is.

Apparently about 90% of the blog discussion about Bristol is people telling each other not to talk about her.

Now, I think that is plain mean. Usually, in a presidential election, you get nothing but boring b.s. from end to end. Suddenly, though, we have some down-home soap opera, including a self-described “f—ing redneck” baby daddy! Wooh! A lot can change in a year, especially for someone that age.

Trig was born April 18th of this year. Bristol is five months pregnant. That leaves about a two week window to get pregnant again.

Have you ever given birth? I have. And no-one was goin’ there two weeks afterward.

I do wish people would stop making me defend these wackjobs, though. Do any of the Obama supporters here even know what he said about all this Jerry Springer style shit-slinging? Or are you so engrossed in your tabloid gossip that you’re not paying attention to anything else?

Disturbing to hear that Mr. McCain picked on a family whose family member proclaims to being a red-neck. Frog-in-the pond ignorance may be cute but can take on an scary form when the pond you live in is as powerful as America- considering anything outside the pond, evil or an axis of evil; attacking/invading anything that does not appear familiar. American President rules the world and not just red-neck states- please keep this in mind when you vote. Choose a future of dailogue/ peace over death and destruction.

  54. cabalamat says:

@52 Nextgen08: I’m not a Republican, but I’ll say this; to bring this 18 year old kid into this political debate is not only pointless, but it’s mean.

He’s a citizen, he’s old enough to vote and (as far as I know) run for office. Therefore I would describe him as a bona fide moral agent and political actor. Further more he agreed to be seen with McCain at a political rally and on TV.

He didn’t do anything to deserve this kind of ridicule.

I haven’t ridiculed him. Nor do I intend to.

    He isn’t running for office.

He is apparently supporting McCain’s and Palin’s run for office.

He sounds like any other 18 year old kid, and his Myspaces looks like any other 18 year old kid that is still trying to figure out who he is.

Well yes. I’m not sure thre word “kid” fits since 18 year old are intellectually and physically mature. Of course, if you treat people like they’re kids, like they’re immature and can’t be trusted, that’s the sort of behaviour you’ll get.

  55. cabalamat says:

mylifeaswillowpalin: Please, respect my family and my sister!

    (Assuming it’s really you Willow)

I endeavour to treat everyone with respect, at least until they show by their behaviour that they don’t deserve it.

  56. Jimboi says:

You dumb a** people know nothing. The fact that she is five months means nothing. What is her expected due date, is the question I really want to know the answer to. Expected due dates are determined by the last time the women had her period. There is more than meets the eye with this family. Where was Dad when his daughter was running around with Levi???

  57. Lottie says:

I’m not sure thre word “kid” fits since 18 year old are intellectually and physically mature.

Maturity varies from person to person. You cannot put a number on it. And I’ve never known an eighteen-year old who came anywhere close to behaving like a fully mature adult. Like someone else said, they are often still finding themselves. But I’d be interested in any research studies you can offer which support your assertion.

Of course, if you treat people like they’re kids, like they’re immature and can’t be trusted, that’s the sort of behaviour you’ll get.

Is that the problem then? Someone’s still treating you like a kid?

  58. Lottie says:

You dumb a** people know nothing.

This from the person who doesn’t know that the date of a woman’s last menstrual period is an extremely outdated way of determining a due date.

Expected due dates are determined by the last time the women had her period.

That is not always the case. In fact lots of women have light periods after they become pregnant, and even throughout the entire pregnancy. Then there are women who don’t have regular periods to begin with, so you can’t use their last periods to determine a due date. If a woman has regular periods, her last one can be used as a starting point to get a general idea, but actual due dates are determined by sonagram/ultrasound.

The fact that she is five months means nothing. What is her expected due date, is the question I really want to know the answer to.

Please explain how knowing the due date will help you solve the mystery any easier than knowing how far along she is. I’m dying to hear it.

I had a good friend, who got pregnant at age 17, she choose to give the baby up for adoption. Not easy stuff. That event was the positive turning point in her life… She had great parents who were very active and involved in her life…and who kept on supporting her and the difficult decision she made. She had good supportive friends. Yeah, she screwed up….then she grew up…. made some right choices….and shortly afterwards, got married, raised her own family… Character becomes evident, not in light of one or two decisions, but often it is out of the very mistakes we make, that character begins to emerge. I sure wouldnt want my life or my parents to be judged by certain reckless actions. You, I…most of us…are only one step away from making a mistake… Yes, there are consequences…as for Bristol. Her life is forever changed, but it is often these things that strengthen character, draw families together, and reveal who we really are. Seems like people are on a witch hunt, cant find much wrong with Palin, so gotta go ‘below the belt’

  60. cabalamat says:

@57 Lottie: Maturity varies from person to person. You cannot put a number on it. And I’ve never known an eighteen-year old who came anywhere close to behaving like a fully mature adult. Like someone else said, they are often still finding themselves. But I’d be interested in any research studies you can offer which support your assertion.

People’s IQ scores stop improving when they reach 15-16, which suggests something roughly corresponding to intelligence is not increasing after that age.

Also most 18 year olds are fertile.

  61. Lottie says:

Sera, I was with you until the last sentence:

Seems like people are on a witch hunt, cant find much wrong with Palin, so gotta go ‘below the belt’

Oh, there’s plenty wrong with Palin, which makes these attacks on her daughter all the more puzzling to me. There are many legitimate issues to address, and jumping on this is drawing attention away from most of it, and causing more people to sympathize with her and overlook the real reasons she shouldn’t be VP.

I’m afraid all this Jerry Springer-style bullshit might backfire on Obama, which is probably part of the reason he told his supporters to knock it off.

  62. Lottie says:

People’s IQ scores stop improving when they reach 15-16, which suggests something roughly corresponding to intelligence is not increasing after that age.

And this means they’re fully mature and no longer engage in adolescent behavior? I think you’re confusing intelligence with emotional maturity — two entirely different things.

Also most 18 year olds are fertile.

    Yeah. And?

Also, I was kind of hoping for actual evidence to support your assertions rather than, well, more assertions.

I want you guys to look at this picture closely. Compare Levi’s head shape with baby Trig. Then look at the structure of the baby’s eyes followed by the nose. I don’t know people this is one a beautiful picture but a very telling one as well. If this link does not work, you will find this picture on huffingtonpost.

  64. cabalamat says:

@63: I want you guys to look at this picture closely. Compare Levi’s head shape with baby Trig. Then look at the structure of the baby’s eyes followed by the nose.

They do look vaguely similar but that doesn’t demonstrate that they’re related. I think you should just accept that Trig is Sarah’s, not least because iot would be incredibly foolhardy for her to try to maintain such a lie while she’s in the media spotlight — she would be bound to be found out.

  65. inkslwc says:

Even Levi’s mother has said that the two were planning on getting married before all of this happened.

  66. rpm1122 says:

Hey, if you guys want to check out the astrological destinies between Palin and Obama, go to http://www.robertphoenix.com

  67. palin4america says:

For the record, Sarah Palin is in favor of discussing contraceptives in sex ed. Christianliberal and others who say otherwise are either ill-informed or lying.

  68. Suspicious says:

My money’s on Bristol is Trig’s mommy and on her way to becoming mommy, round 2.

I’m not judging Bristol. Given Sarah’s fame now, money shouldn’t be an issue, so Bristol and the kids will get taken care of materially. She and Levi will go through the learning process that ultra-young parents have to go through. It would be very cool if they can weather the rapids, have happy lives and raise great kids. I wish that for them.

I’m not judging Sarah. She’s clearly an energetic lady, has a fabulous smile, energizes loads of people and more kudos to her for that.

I AM hoping though that the media can ferret out the truth and put it out there, if Bristol is indeed becoming Mommy, Round 2. The reason I’m hoping that happens is that the McCain ticket loses some of the CONSERVATIVE vote.

I am obviously not very good at reading the Conservative mind, but I’m thinking if they find Sarah lied to them about this, she might lose some support. Some still might say “Okay, she was trying to protect her daughter” and rally around. But when they’re confronted with hey one accident happens, but TWO? I’m hoping that then they wonder is Sarah really a good example of Family Values, and she loses a little more support.

I’m sure you can infer that I have ingested the Obama Gatorade, and I really want Obama-Biden as the next set of people in charge. First off, I like his approach – he sees how different issues tie together to cause the problems we have. Apparently, one of his first acts in the Senate was to help get Transparency Laws passed. That is HUGE. He FRAMES the right questions. If you don’t ask the right questions, whatever answers you get, and no matter how well they’re implemented, you’ll not solve the underlying problems!!! Third he inspires people, and motivates them to get involved, and DO stuff.

That’s why I prefer Obama to McCain. McCain is sure he’s right. Obama is thoughtful, willing to listen, willing to figure out what the real issues are, willing to adjust as more information becomes available, willing to compromise as long as things are headed in the right direction. I loved his VP pick. He needs an insider, who can also think outside the box to help him navigate the system and be his advisor and mentor. So, he gets one.

McCain, of late has been scary. EVERYTHING he’s been saying lately is diametrically opposed to his earlier positions. I’m hoping this is only because he HAS to do this to get elected, and he’ll change afterwards. Then again, he’s SURROUNDED by lobbyists!!! GULP! Then, he goes and picks Sarah Palin, which has everything to do with getting elected, rather than serving the country. If he wins, I hope she’s a quick study on complex issues. It doesn’t seem so, from waht I’ve read. It seems to be “My way, or the Highway” for her. We’ve just seen a very vivid example of what that orientation can lead to with Bush-Cheney. So that’s very, very scary. Of course, as long as McCain doesn’t just pop an aneurism or something, he should be able to hold her in check. And who knows, it might even energize him … (the guy’s a new man since Sarah showed up … he’s grinning from ear to ear, and walking more erect)!!!

But, like I said earlier, EVEN if we get the old McCain back, minus the strings from lobbyists … EVEN THEN, I’m worried about the direction he takes us. Sarah Palin may turn out to be an INSPIRED call by the guy – if he pulls it off, it shows he’s smart in a political, tactical, cunning kind of way. But we still get a guy who knows he is right, and doesn’t UNDERSTAND the real issues confronting the USA AND the world today.

So, my money’s on Bristol is Trig’s mommy and on her way to becoming mommy, round 2.

  69. cabalamat says:

@68 Suspicious: I’m not judging Bristol. Given Sarah’s fame now, money shouldn’t be an issue, so Bristol and the kids will get taken care of materially.

I expect Bristol could make some money from interviews in magazines like Hello! or OK!

  70. cabalamat says:

@67 Palin4america: Sarah Palin is in favor of discussing contraceptives in sex ed. Christianliberal and others who say otherwise are either ill-informed or lying.

Do you have a URL to support that proposition?

  71. Trojan Man says:

I’m willing to bet that Levi would vote pro-choice now!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all those unwanted pregnancies all ended up happily ever after in loving and financially satble family? That’s a nice fantasy but certainly not reality. I’ve know too many people who have ended up in foster homes and other government systems because their parents didn’t want or couldn’t afford to keep them. All clearly admitted their wish to have ben aborted rather than having to go through life feeling unwanted!

  72. Maua says:

It’s not about Bristol, and Palin, and Levi, its about the American people. If your children can’t listen to you, maybe the neighbour’s will. What can Palin give Americans? That shold be the question.

  73. Tod says:

In a lot of states this guy would be going to jail for a long time and have to be a registered sex offender for even longer.

Funny how it’s perfectly “fine” in some states, but not in others, but it’s the same country and media.

  74. Kevin says:

People seem to be getting off track here. I’m not going to condemn Bristol and Levi. Kids have sex. It’s a fact of life. I’m questioning the judgement of Sarah Palin who still supports abstainence as the only sex education to be taught. Sarah… haven’t you got proof pretty close at hand that that does not work? As a mom she should have prepared and protected her child. Teach safe sex. Teach contraception. If her judgement is so bad that she can’t take care of her own child how can we trust her to take care of the country. Sarah… go home and care for your family.

  75. Lottie says:

I’ve heard a lot of people criticizing Sarah Palin for not staying home with her children. But I’ve yet to hear a single person so much as question why the children’s father doesn’t quit his job to stay home with them.

Those kids have two living parents. Why should the responsibility for them fall solely on Sarah?

  76. Cinnamon Stillwell says:

I thought shot-gun weddings were a thing of the past…this is 2008 for christ-sake…let Levi continue his college education and get a real job…why would you want to force him into fatherhood…his myspace says he doesn’t want children.

  77. Cinnamon Stillwell says:

I think Sara Palin is a horrible Mother that should spend more time with her children!! (especially her 17 year old daughter). It’s obvious to the American people that she didn’t teach MORALS to her 17 year old (does the girl even go to church?). I mean how could Sarah Palin parade her pregnant unwed daughter onto the Republican stage, and expect all Americans to say “great job Sarah…we accept your pregnant daughter too”. How embarassing!!!!! The responsibility falls squarely on your shoulders because you’re the one walking around “VOICING” you want Roe v. Wade to be overturned, you don’t know anything about foreign policy and you’re too “stupid” to admit it…and on top of all of that…you’re a JOKE to the Republican Party and a total disgrace to women of America!!! A pregnant daughter and she’s not married…you should give up politics and teach your others daughters about CONDOMS, and how unprotected SEX can lead to AIDS amd BABIES!!!!

  78. Brad says:

“Leave her alone. It’s a private family matter.”

Coming from the republicans and their conservative media allies, this is a joke. Didn’t the republicans:

    * Spend millions investigating a stained dress and a private marital issue.
    * John McCain’s little joke: “Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.” —
    * Rush Limbaugh refered to Chelsea as “the family dog”.
    * Pearon Education published “The Truth about Hillary” a book infering that Hillary was a lesbian and Chelsea only existed because Bill Clinton raped Hillary.
    * Smear John Kerry’s war service — every claim of the Swift Boat guys was proven incorrect.

Between McCain, Limbaugh, Fox News, Fox and Friends, Savage, and the rest NO ONE puts out more hatefull crap than the republicans.

  79. BushLastDay01/20/2009 says:

I personally do not support Sarah Palin – but people need to leave her pregnant teenager alone. She is 17….. at 17 kids are stupid and make stupid mistakes. The moral values at home should have been a little better kept up with, but that is beside the point.

As for the baby….. generally speaking it is not very likely that baby is Bristol’s even if she were not currently pregnant.

Down Syndrome is generally an issue with later in life pregnancy. Sarah Palin was 44 when she had her 5th child, making the likelyhood of DS higher.

  80. Lunch Admin. says:

    @BushLastDay

The moral values in the Palin home are not beside the point. They ARE THE POINT.

  81. Sewc says:

This is hillarious, like clintons and obama goin’ at it, then saying oh he’s the best. Or Clinton Bush Foundation. What morals do you all have thats anybetter than this lady? Shes not an ivy league, her 1st like most of us, wasn’t exactly planned. Shes self made. Abortion will always be an issue, because of it conundrum. Is it birth control in the malice or does it save life both physical and emotional? Yadda Yadda Yadda… HOW ABOUT FREEDOM OF RELIGION? we do not have it. True Christianity is as the mystical tribe it spawned from. Key word MYSTICAL TRIBE. Now days Christians put faith in the dollar and the doctor. LOL where the faith. You people do not see that everything including the State prosiding over marriage, has to do w/ capitalism and thought control. Capitalism always end chasing its tail w/ its citizens suffering economic calamity. Thats why we should be proud to be a Constitutional Democratic Republic. Not a City State. Surpised we havent devided yet, hahahah Capitalist to the east of the River, and us Gun totin’ freedom lovers to the west of the river. You see what happens when you give your freedom up, for labor hours, you become drained tired, and very easy for the Inigma box to govern your thought control. While you/us “veg”. Demwads Repukes.. In this day and time we need to collaberate what we have in comon what is the real issue, and fix it like the united people we used to be. Yes I am a Rep, however in THIS country THE CONSITUTION is law. ITS THERE FOR US.
