It looks like Bristol Palin isn’t the mother of Trig Palin. However, that story did have an element of truth it it, in that there were descriptions of Bristol being off school because she’s pregnant, and descriptions of her looking pregnant. Anyway, Sarah Palin is now saying Bristol is pregnant:
The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.
Bristol Palin, one of Alaska Gov. Palin’s five children with her husband, Todd, is about five months pregnant and is going to keep the child and marry the father, the Palins said in a statement released by the campaign of Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
Bristol Palin made the decision on her own to keep the baby, McCain aides said.
“We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us,” the Palins’ statement said.
“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support,” the Palins said.
I wonder if there are any statements on record from Palin or McCain condemning sex outside marriage? I don’t think it’s wrong, and if Bristol Palin wants to have sex that’s not a problem with me at all — in fact good luck to her; however there are those on the Republican right who think sex outside marriage is wrong.

wow i would like you to justify that statement. if you are getting that from the christian old testament you should know that almost all jewish law is considered dead by christians.
not that that prevents them from using the same laws against gays/lesbians.

Members of Joel’s Army ARE extreme. Palin takes an even harder line than Feminists for Life, of which she is also a member, do.
Am I the only one who thinks that this is a little too convenient? This pregnancy is a coverup! Bristol is not pregnant and will have a “miscarriage”, and then they can use this “pregnancy” to deny that Trig is Bristol’s son, and then say that they don’t want to talk about her tragic miscarriage.
There is absolutely nothing in either the Old Testament or New Testament of the Bible that condones the killing of an unwed mother. Please don’t make nutty stuff up!

IMAGINE IF IT WERE ONE OF BARACK’S DAUGHTERS WHO WAS KNOCKED UP – THE GRAND OIL PARTY WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY WITH THAT, INCLUDING SAYING THAT IF BARACK CAN’T CONTROL HIS OWN KIDS, HE SHOULDN’T BE IN CONTROL OF THE US. MCCAIN ALREADY HAD THE HUNTIN, FISHIN, CREATIONIST BELIEVING CRACKER VOTE, PALIN ADDED NOTHING TO THE TICKET. HER FINALLY ADMITTING BRISTOL IS PREGGERS DOES NOTHING FOR PALIN’S ALREADY SHAKY CREDIBILITY.

I expect he wants to remain anonymous for now. As would I with the current media circus.
How do we know Bristol is pregant? Oh!… because the same people who were covering everything up in the rumor are vouchsafing that she is. And they MUST be believed even by those who were so sure Sarah was not Trig’s mother. Why? Because doubting them twice would be DOUBLE-JEOPARDY, which is senseless and illegal. In any case, if Bristol SHOULD (wonders never cease with this family!) have an alleged miscarriage of her alleged pregancy, then that would be after the election, and that would be water over the dam. So, however you look at it, the case is solved. (Look up double-jeopardy in any law book, if you don’t believe me.)
